Join Us This June: NVIH’s June Health Initiatives & Events

As we welcome the month of June, I’m pleased to share the excitement of the summer season with all of you. The longer days and warmer weather offer a perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, but I also want to remind everyone to stay safe—keep hydrated, practice water safety, and remember the importance of daily sunscreen.

June brings with it important health observances that align with our mission to provide excellence in healthcare services to our community. This month, we are proud to recognize Men’s Mental Health Awareness Week. It’s a critical time to encourage open dialogue and reduce the stigma that can prevent men from seeking the mental health support they need and deserve.

We also join in observing Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. On June 21st, we invite our community to wear purple in solidarity with those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and to honor the strength of their families and caregivers.

While summer break has just begun for many children, it’s already time to look ahead to the next school year. To support our school-age patients, the NVIH Children’s Health Center in Chico will be offering Sports Physicals on June 7th. If you would like to make a sports physical appointment for your child, please call 530-781-1440 to schedule. We accept most insurance plans, and a small fee applies for uninsured children.

I invite you to visit our monthly calendar to stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities to connect with our team.

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to stay connected.

Wishing you a healthy, safe, and sunny summer season!
