Children’s Dental Health Month

It’s National Children’s Dental Health Month! Let’s help your child’s smile shine!

When was your child’s last dental appointment? If you’re struggling to recall, it’s likely been too long. Our oral health plays a crucial role in our ability to eat, speak, smile, and express emotions. It also impacts self-esteem, school performance, and attendance. Good oral hygiene is vital for both adults and children. Take this as a gentle reminder to schedule your children’s regular dental check-ups.

Maintaining oral hygiene can prevent children from developing unhealthy habits and becoming susceptible to gum diseases like gingivitis, cavities, and dental plaque. Surprisingly, over half of children aged 6 to 8 have experienced cavities in their baby teeth. Establishing a healthy oral routine in the morning and before bedtime from a young age can significantly enhance dental health. As February marks National Children’s Dental Health Month, NVIH stands behind this important cause, raising awareness and support.
